About The Position

iLOQ is an international technology company providing intelligent locking and access management solutions for buildings worldwide. To support continued growth, we’re building simple, scalable HR operations across countries. As HR Operations Manager, you’ll take ownership of how HR operations work globally and continuously improve core HR operations across our international sales organization. Your scope includes payroll and benefits vendors, HR data and reporting, employee lifecycle processes, and compliance, with a strong focus on simplification, standardization and automation. A key focus in this role is to simplify and standardize HR operations while reducing manual work and improving data quality across countries. You’ll work as an individual contributor without direct people management, with full ownership of global HR operations and processes, collaborating with HR colleagues and external partners to ensure smooth, high-quality HR operations across multiple countries in Europe as well as in Singapore and Australia. The role is based in Germany (flexible location) with occasional travel. We have an office in Mönchengladbach near Düsseldorf, where you can work, but you can also work remotely.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in international HR operations (multi-country) with proven end-to-end ownership of processes
  • Degree in HR, Business or related field
  • Strong knowledge of multi-country employment practices, plus payroll/benefits and HR systems
  • Fluency in English and good working proficiency in German
  • Analytical, structured and pragmatic; strong ownership and problem-solving mindset
  • Strong stakeholder and vendor management; balance global consistency with local needs
  • Comfortable in an international, distributed environment; curious mindset and openness to learn
  • Interest in using AI / automation to simplify work
  • Experience in a commercial or sales-driven environment
  • Knowledge of EU labour legislation

Responsibilities

  • Own and improve HR operations across the employee lifecycle (onboarding to offboarding)
  • Manage payroll and benefits vendors (performance, controls, statutory compliance); HR Generalist runs monthly processing
  • Ensure local employment law compliance; maintain country contract templates and coordinate external counsel when needed
  • Coordinate commission governance and administration with sales and finance
  • Partner with the HRIS Specialist and HR Generalist to ensure accurate HR data, compliance and practical reporting
  • Support on complex ER cases from start to finish
  • Design and improve processes and automation in our HR system with the HRIS Specialist with focus on automation, data quality and practical use of AI tools where they add value.
