About The Position

As an HR Operations Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for Capital One Associates. You will manage day-to-day HR Operations, Immigration and Global Mobility processes and continuous improvement initiatives. This role will partner closely with immigration vendors, HR partners, Payroll, the business, and enterprise partners to work through and find constructive resolution to employee immigration and mobility inquiries and escalations.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience managing HR programs, with a primary focus on Immigration and Global Mobility
  • Experience providing HR Operations services to all levels of stakeholders (Associates, People Leaders, and Senior Management)
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including superior attention to detail and the ability to manage high-volume, deadline-driven responsibilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective consultation across diverse audiences

Nice To Haves

  • Degree or diploma in Human Resources management or a related field
  • Human Resource designation or working towards (CHRP, CHRL)
  • Familiarity with supporting a multi-entity organization and ensuring compliance with federal and provincial regulatory requirements
  • Proficiency with Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, Forms), HRIS and case management systems (i.e. Workday and Salesforce)
  • Experience working with third party vendors

Responsibilities

  • Providing guidance and consultation to associates, People Leaders, and HR partners on immigration requirements, work authorization, and Capital One's Global Mobility procedures
  • Administering Canada’s Immigration and Global Mobility programs, which includes communicating program details and managing invoice reconciliation
  • Ensuring compliance with provincial and federal laws and Capital One policies, including auditing temporary work permits and related documentation to confirm ongoing associate eligibility to work
  • Partnering with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., HRBPs, Associate Relations, Legal, Immigration Consultants) on regulatory and employment liability issues as they relate to complex cases
  • Proposing, developing, and implementing continuous improvements to processes and documentation for the HR Operations, Immigration, and Global Mobility portfolio, staying current on legislation to develop and maintain company policies. This includes resolving root causes of problems.
  • Managing escalations and responding to associate inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Supporting international associate movement (i.e., Global Transfers, Long Term Assignments, iMove) from a compliance and policy perspective
  • Ensuring data accuracy across HR systems (e.g., Workday) and produce reporting on trends, risks, and compliance metrics for Monthly Business Review (MBR)
  • Supporting special projects as required
