HR Onboarding Coordinator

We CARE for our patients like they are our own FAMILY. The HR Onboarding Coordinator I is responsible for creating a seamless, positive, and “white glove” onboarding experience for all new teammates. From offer acceptance through day one, this role ensures that new hires are welcomed and well-informed. The Onboarding Coordinator I owns the preboarding process, ensures compliance with onboarding requirements, and serves as a trusted point of contact for new teammates. This role plays a critical part in shaping first impressions and setting the tone for a positive and engaging teammate experience.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in HR, recruiting, or onboarding coordination
- Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and organization skills
- Passion for creating meaningful, people-first experiences
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a warm and professional demeanor
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Nice To Haves
- experience with Workday or other HRIS platforms a plus
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for new hires, delivering personalized support throughout the preboarding and onboarding process
- Coordinate all preboarding tasks, including background checks, employment eligibility, licensure verifications, and required documentation
- Ensure all new teammates are accurately and timely entered into the HRIS system and connected to the appropriate onboarding workflows
- Partner with IT, Hiring Managers, and other departments to ensure everything is ready for the new hire’s first day (equipment, schedule, access, etc.)
- Lead or coordinate new hire welcome sessions and provide ongoing support through their early journey
- Monitor and track onboarding completion metrics, follow up on outstanding items, and support compliance with onboarding standards
- Maintain onboarding documentation and SOPs, identifying opportunities to streamline or improve the process
- Gather feedback from new teammates and contribute to continuous improvement of the onboarding experience
- Champion a welcoming, inclusive experience that reflects ASHN’s values and culture
- Perform other duties as assigned
