About The Position

Upstream Rehabilitation is looking for a Temporary HR Onboarding Coordinator to join our team. This is a 6-month assignment. The role supports a seamless and compliant onboarding process from offer acceptance through first-day orientation. The HR Onboarding Coordinator will manage onboarding activities, maintain HR systems, track compliance requirements, and partner closely with hiring managers, HR, and cross-functional teams to ensure a timely and accurate experience. The position upholds Upstream Rehabilitation’s mission, vision, and values while helping deliver a consistent and positive onboarding experience.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years of experience in Human Resources or a related field
  • Working knowledge of employment practices and compliance requirements
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized, with the ability to track and coordinate multiple onboarding activities simultaneously
  • Customer-focused mindset with a responsive, service-oriented approach
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to follow established processes and escalate issues appropriately
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based HR systems
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred
  • Experience in a healthcare and/or multi-state organization preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate background checks to ensure completion aligns with start date requirements
  • Support I-9 and E-Verify processes, tracking completion and escalating issues to maintain compliance
  • Track onboarding progress from offer acceptance through orientation, following up to ensure timely completion
  • Partner with HR teams to update new hire information across systems (e.g., ADP), ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Prepare and maintain personnel files in accordance with documentation requirements
  • Manage onboarding communications with hiring managers and new hires
  • Create and maintain standard reports and tracking logs to support onboarding visibility
  • Support updates to onboarding materials, including the Onboarding Manual
  • Provide general administrative support to the Onboarding team
  • Other projects and duties as assigned
