About The Position

Nucor Towers and Structures (NTS) is a new entity within Nucor, the largest recycler and largest manufacturer of steel and steel products in North America, focused on the execution of our strategy to “Expand Beyond” our core business. Current production facility is in West Hazleton, PA, with plans to build a national footprint. The HR Manager will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and a wide range of HR support to our team members across numerous locations. This position will be in Hazleton, PA but may require travel to other production facilities on an as-needed basis. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field required from an accredited University.
  • At least five years of human resources experience.
  • Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations in the US.
  • SAP payroll, MS Office, and HR related systems experience.
  • Commitment to safety; actively involved in safety initiatives.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience using/knowledge of SuccessFactors and/or Beamery.
  • Prior experience using NOVAtime and/or payroll software.
  • Prior experience with Power BI and/or Tableau.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations talent systems and understand, interpret, and report analytics.
  • Benefits Administration Experience.
  • Experience in team culture and inclusion.
  • Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations in the US.
  • SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR certification.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of talent acquisition
  • Manage all aspects of employee relations at a site level, such as investigations, appeals, adverse actions, worker’s compensation, conflict resolution and change management
  • Manage all compliance requirements at a site level such as change of status administration, verification of employment, standardization efforts and HR related audits
  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of payroll administration at a site level and with NTSSC
  • Support pre-employment, onboarding and offboarding requirements
  • Manage and deliver on core training requirements such as NuFoundations, Mental Health First Aid, Privileged Social Media, etc.
  • Stakeholder management from an HR perspective at a site level and within the community, including various company sponsored programs at a site level.
