About The Position

Buchanan Hauling & Rigging is seeking a talented HR Manager to join their team. This role is responsible for the day-to-day operations of human resources, including the development, coordination, implementation, and administration of HR policies, procedures, and programs. The HR Manager will play a key role in promoting the company's values of Determination, Integrity, Safety, and Community.   • Minimum 7 years’ experience in Human Resources.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Human Resources or related field required.

  • Experience in trucking or logistics preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee day-to-day HR operations, ensuring consistent, compliant and employee-focused practices across the organization.
  • Supervise, coach and develop the HR team including oversight of leave status, recruiting and reporting.
  • Serve as an advisor to leaders on employee relations, performance management, policy interpretation, corrective action, disciplinary meetings and terminations.
  • Manage or guide investigations and resolution of employee concerns, ensuring timely documentation, confidentiality and appropriate outcomes.
  • Create and support learning and development programs and initiatives that strengthen internal growth, leadership readiness and employee engagement.
  • Identify and implement HR Process and technology improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy and employee experience.
  • Track HR trends and key metrics and provide insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Other duties as assigned.
