About The Position

The HR Lead for Workday ERP Transformation is accountable for the Human Resources workstream within Emory University and Emory Healthcare’s Workday ERP Transformation. Reporting to the VP for ERP Transformation, this role serves as the primary functional decision-maker across both entities and leads the design and delivery of Workday Human Capital Management. The position reconciles policy and process differences, directs the assigned HR team and advisers, identifies staffing or backfill needs, and escalates decisions or risks that require broader program action. The HR Lead owns workstream scope, priorities, deliverables, dependencies, decisions, risks, and readiness in coordination with the ERP PMO. The role acts as functional product owner for Workday HCM and guides design across core HR, talent, recruiting, benefits, absence, compensation, payroll, time capture, and reporting. It also ensures the solution addresses compliance, controls, security, data integrity, and workforce reporting needs, and leads HR participation through requirements, configuration reviews, data conversion, testing, cutover, deployment readiness, and stabilization. The position coordinates with functional and technical leads, Change Management, Workday, consultants, HR stakeholders, and HR operations to support adoption and transition to ongoing operations. Tasks are generally performed in person at an Emory University location. Remote-work-from-home days may be granted at department discretion, and Emory reserves the right to change remote-work status with notice.
