About The Position

Worley Canada Construction is seeking a full-time HR Intern to join our People Team at our office in Edmonton, AB from June to August 2026 for a 3 month work term. This role provides support to the Recruitment and HR Administration teams, assisting with various tasks related to employee engagement, data management, and general HR inquiries. The intern will gain experience in a dynamic industrial construction environment within a global organization.

Requirements

  • Must be available for minimum 3 month work term (40 hrs per week) starting in June 2026.
  • Competency in MS Office suite of tools, primarily Word, Outlook and Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Working forwards a certificate, diploma or degree accreditation in Human Resources is preferred.
  • General knowledge of Human Resources functions and programs is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Recruitment team by assisting with phone screens and reference checks, interview coordination and support, scheduling drug and alcohol pre-access testing, posting requisitions for vacant positions, sending mobilization email information to new candidates with project specific information, collecting relevant training tickets and qualifications for candidates, and updating internal recruitment tool as required.
  • Initiate change of engagement forms, demobilization forms, etc. as necessary for employees and contractors as needed and liaise with applicable site coordinators.
  • Perform data audits and verification of data integrity.
  • Issue employment verification letters.
  • Respond to general inquiries from staff such as benefits, timesheets, and expenses.
  • Other duties as required.
