About The Position

Corning Incorporated is seeking students actively enrolled in ILR, and HR majors to assume intern roles in the Human Resource Function. The selected individuals will have the opportunity to work with Human Resource Directors/Managers in one of our business divisions or Centers of Excellences (COEs). The interns will gain exposure to strategies, policies and processes within the HR function. Specific project work will entail partnering with HR and Business leaders in one of the following areas, including but not limited to: Talent Management, Learning and Development, Compensation and Benefits, Recruitment, Legal/ER, Diversity Management, etc. This would provide the opportunity for you to apply your knowledge gained in your education program. This role offers experience in both analytical work and formal presentations.

Requirements

  • Sophomore, Junior or Master’s level (completing 1st year) in ILR/HRM
  • Prior HR related work
  • Actively enrolled at a college or university as a full-time student seeking a bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Available for 10 weeks during Summer 2027 (May-August 2027)
  • Graduation date of December 2027 or later
  • Interested in working for Corning, Inc after graduation, if presented with a full-time job opportunity.
  • Willing to work at the proposed job location
  • Knowledge in Industrial and Labor Relations Courses
  • Knowledge in Human Resource Courses
  • Knowledge in Employment Law Courses
  • Excellent verbal & written communication (including presentation) skills
  • Professional attitude and behavior
