About The Position

Administers the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) Department, including but not limited to recruiting and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and procedures. Additional administrative support to the Accounting Department as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of professional-level HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  • Associate degree in business administration, HR management or related field.
  • SHRM or equivalent HR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administering health and welfare plans, including timely benefit enrollments, changes and terminations.
  • Maintaining associate data and documents in HRIS/Payroll system (UKG), including but not limited to new hire and termination checklists.
  • Leading recruiting efforts to attract and retain the right people, including occasional travel (<10%).
  • Administering leaves of absence to comply with employment laws and company policy.
  • Processing and administering unemployment and workers’ compensation claims with the insurance provider and/or relevant state agency.
  • Assisting with workplace investigations and completing incident reports as needed.
  • Assisting with preparation of performance review process and development of training materials.
  • Administering required drug and alcohol screenings through third party screening vendors per company policy.
  • Administering wellness initiatives and helping promote and organize annual health fair event.
  • Collaborating with management/hiring teams on associate recruitment, talent acquisition, training, development, performance management, discipline and terminations.
  • Assisting associates with day-to-day HR requests and helping resolve workplace issues.
  • Conducting timely and thorough pre-employment screening and associate onboarding, creating a welcoming and informative experience for new hires.
  • Administering BCI Associate Handbook policies and periodic updates.
  • Ensuring compliance with state and federal employment laws and company HR policies.
  • Processing hourly associate payroll weekly and collaborating with Division Controller to maintain accurate work schedules and attendance records in UKG.
  • Assisting with tracking and monitoring temp worker labor hours consistent with company policy.
  • Coordinating travel accommodations for visitors.
  • Providing administrative support to the general office and Accounting Department (e.g., accounts payable and accounts receivable), as needed.
  • Following established safety rules and procedures at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.
