About The Position

Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry is a growing dental support organization with 70+ practices across North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. The HR team supports the people who take care of patients by showing up in person, moving quickly, and knowing the offices well. As an HR Generalist, you will be the dedicated HR partner for a region of dental offices, typically 10 to 20 locations and 150 to 250+ team members. You will own recruiting and onboarding for your region, guide employee relations matters, and be a visible, trusted presence for Regional Managers, Office Managers, and team members. This role requires spending time in offices and the local community to build the talent pipeline.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of HR generalist, recruiting, or HR business partner experience, ideally in a multi-site environment.
  • Demonstrated full-cycle recruiting experience, with high-volume hourly hiring a strong plus.
  • Working knowledge of employee relations practices and employment law fundamentals.
  • Comfortable with an ATS, HRIS, and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel regularly within your region (mileage reimbursed).

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare, dental, or DSO experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred; SHRM-CP or PHR a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own full-cycle recruiting for non-provider roles (dental assistants, front office, treatment coordinators, office leadership), including intake, posting, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offers, and closing.
  • Manage offers within wage bands and approval processes, keeping candidates engaged from first contact through their first day.
  • Coordinate onboarding to ensure new hires start ready to work, with paperwork, credentials, and systems access handled on time.
  • Track open requisitions and time to fill, and update Operations on hiring status and staffing risks.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local dental assisting programs, community colleges, technical schools, and high school career programs.
  • Represent the company at career fairs, classroom visits, and campus events, and create pipelines for externships and new graduates.
  • Visit offices regularly to understand staffing needs, get to know teams, and be a consistent HR presence.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions and concerns in the region.
  • Coach Office Managers and Regional Managers through performance conversations, corrective action, attendance issues, and team conflict.
  • Conduct fact-finding on employee relations concerns, document clearly, and escalate to HR leadership with facts, timeline, and open questions.
  • Support separations, exit processes, and retention conversations.
  • Partner with Payroll and Benefits on employee changes, leave-related questions, and new hire setup.
  • Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS and support policy compliance across NC, SC, and VA.
  • Help roll out HR programs, policies, and communications to offices.
