About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist performs Human Resources related duties at the professional level and may carry out responsibilities in the employment, benefit, or compliance divisions of the human resources department.

Requirements

Intermediate knowledge of Human Resources best practices, functional areas, and state and federal compliance as related to the field.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and confidentially process and maintain data with accuracy.
Basic computer skills specifically using Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs.
Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff.
Effective oral and technical written communication skills to effectively communicate information to others as well as to present information in front of a group.
Ability to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, etc.
Strong customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up. Ability to convey information clearly, effectively, and professionally.
Active listening skills; attentiveness when listening to others to understand, ask appropriate questions, etc.
Ability to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide) quickly and correctly.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to evaluate data and consider decision impact across multiple areas.

Experience using an HRIS system, Deltek experience preferred.
Proven work experience in an area that required high levels of accuracy or auditing.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance

Responsibilities

Conduct bi-weekly new hire orientations.
Complete new hire processing including review new hire forms for accuracy.
Maintain monthly reports for different departments.
Coordinate the educational assistance program and maintain documents.
Code HR Vendor invoice with pertinent information and forward to the HR Manager for approval.
Answer calls and forms for verification of employment.
Retain records in line with company record retention requirements.
Assist in answering employee general questions.
Assist HR Manager with conducting employee relations investigations.
Complete all documentation/forms/reports required.
Complete annual OSHA reporting (January of each year).
May log Vision/Drug Screens and update files.
May record employee information such as personal data, compensation, benefits, leave of absence information, performance reviews, and termination date and reason in Human Resource Information System (HRIS).
May assist in responding to inquiries, communicate and ensure understanding by employees and management of laws, regulations, organization policies, procedures and programs.
May maintain employee handbook addendums for Yulista Holding Companies.
Assists with all administrative processes and tasks in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
The Human Resources Generalist I may be required to perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
