About The Position

Rhinebeck Bank is seeking an analytical, detail-oriented HR professional to join our Human Resources team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate administration of payroll, benefits, compensation, and HR systems while providing exceptional service to our employees. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional looking to expand their knowledge and take on increasing responsibility across multiple areas of Human Resources. Working closely with the HR team, you will have exposure to compensation, benefits administration, payroll, HR analytics, compliance, and strategic HR initiatives that directly support the Bank's employees and long-term success. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • One to three years of Human Resources experience preferred, particularly in payroll, benefits, HRIS, or compensation.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience will be considered.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, including formulas, sorting, filtering, and working with data.
  • Has exceptional attention to detail and takes pride in producing accurate work.
  • Is highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Enjoys working with numbers, data, and spreadsheets.
  • Is comfortable learning new systems and technology.
  • Has strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Communicates professionally and confidently with employees at all levels of the organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Paylocity or another HRIS/payroll system is preferred.
  • Experience analyzing data and preparing reports is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time using Paylocity.
  • Manage electronic time and attendance.
  • Review, audit, and reconcile payroll reports to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiency.
  • Administer employee benefit programs, including health, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, and the Bank's self-funded medical plan.
  • Assist employees with benefit enrollments, qualifying life events, claims questions, and benefit changes.
  • Administer FMLA, New York Paid Family Leave, disability, and workers' compensation programs.
  • Coordinate annual Open Enrollment, employee communications, and benefit education.
  • Ensure accurate payroll deductions and benefits recordkeeping.
  • Partner with benefit brokers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators.
  • Assist with compensation surveys and market pricing.
  • Prepare salary administration worksheets for annual compensation reviews.
  • Assist the Chief Financial Officer with salary and benefits budgeting and workforce reporting.
  • Develop HR reports, compensation analyses, and workforce metrics using Excel and HRIS data.
  • Support compensation, benefits, and compliance audits, including 5500 reporting.
  • Assist with new hire orientation, including Paylocity and benefits education.
  • Respond to employee and manager questions regarding payroll, benefits, HR systems, and HR policies.
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, HR projects, and other department initiatives as assigned.
  • Contribute positively to a collaborative HR team that is committed to delivering exceptional service.
