As our HR Generalist, you'll serve as a trusted resource for employees while supporting the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of human resources experience
Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Effective verbal, oral, and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Experience in healthcare, senior living, hospitality, or a service-oriented environment
HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent)
Paylocity experience

Responsibilities

Review, screen, schedule, coordinate applicants through the hiring process
Conduct background checks on candidates
Schedule and coordinate orientation for new employees
Assist the Community HR Director in retention efforts
Post and manage the job vacancies in HRIS
Maintain an accurate, organized, and detailed candidate database
Facilitate new hire orientation and ensure a welcoming and engaging onboarding experience
Help drive employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives
Track recruiting metrics and produce recruiting reports to the Community HR Director and ED
Coordinate with greater local community resources to attract applicants, post jobs and attend job fairs
Assist employees and leaders with HR-related questions, policies, and procedures
Support the Community Director of HR on employee relations matters, investigations, and performance management
Coordinate HR compliance activities and ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws
Assist with workers' compensation, leave administration, and workplace safety programs
Prepare reports, audits, and other HR documentation as needed
Maintain applicant, candidate, and employee confidentiality
