About The Position

This position is responsible for implementing human resources policies, programs, and practices for INEOS Oxide. The HR Generalist will help drive the success of the business through various HR deliverables including recruiting, employee relations, benefits administration, employee development and community relations. Duties will also include communicating policies and procedures for the Human Resources Department and recommending strategies and practices to management, as well as coaching and counselling employees. The incumbent will partner with INEOS Oxide, Bayport leadership team members to steer team performance and help drive a culture of excellence, while interfacing with fellow members of the broader INEOS Group, US for support and professional networking.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Business, Human Resources or similar degree; equivalent, additional relevant experience in lieu of degree may be considered, or a combination of education and additional applicable experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong computer skills with exceptional Microsoft Office proficiency
  • HRIS experience sought.
  • Requires broad knowledge of employment statutes including COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and related state & federal regulations.
  • Must be comfortable interacting with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to lead change, influence outcomes, and provide coaching and consultation as needed
  • Must demonstrate keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy and follow up on unresolved issues.
  • Requires comfort and proficiency with multi-tasking and balancing heavy demands.
  • Requires highly ethical, personable and adaptale team player.
  • People leader that works well in a team environment as well as independently, with sound problem solving skills
  • Employee is regularly required to sit and perform tasks requiring repetitive use of hands.
  • The employee must occasionally walk, stand and travel by car, airplane or other means.
  • Exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
  • Employee must have the ability to see written documents, computer screens, and to adjust focus.
  • Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
  • Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make discriminations in sound.

Nice To Haves

  • PHR and/or SHRM-CP Certification preferred
  • Proficiency with Power BI is desirable.
  • Workday is helpful.
  • Experience with SuccessFactors-Employee Central also helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Day to Day HR responsibility for INEOS Oxide LLC
  • Ensuring consistent and reliable HR service
  • Counselling and supporting leadership and employees in an effort to drive excellent business performance
  • Various projects as assigned and directed by Site and HR Management
  • Promptly responding to employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and pay
  • Providing assistance to employees by mediating benefit issues and concerns
  • Assist in ensuring timely and accurate processing of bi-weekly payroll.
  • Drive recruiting efforts for attraction and onboarding of high caliber/high quality talent.
  • Advise and counsel leaders and employees to facilitate successful performance.
  • Conduct investigations in a fair and equal manner
  • Support employees in resolution of all benefits concerns.
  • Assist in running annual performance evaluation process.
  • Facilitate annual salary/merit administration process for Site
  • Administer random drug testing program under the Substance Abuse Policy.
  • Ensure all job descriptions are up to date and in compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards
  • Support Wellness Program for INEOS Oxide
  • Work with the Site Leadership Team for retention of key personnel
  • Ensure proper implementation of various human resource activities including recruitment, compensation, benefits, and rewards
  • Prepare and/or maintain special internal and external reports regarding salary, employee demographics, FTEs, etc.
  • Prepare annual compensation survey analysis as needed; provide salary proposals and other recommendations as necessary.
  • Work with Accounting Manager to prepare the annual manpower budget
  • Provide payroll support when needed including but not limited to: Process bi-weekly payroll
  • Provide reports to Finance and colleagues related to payroll
  • Remain current on all processes and procedures related to the activity.
  • Commit to learning, following, and practicing the INEOS 20 Principles of Process & Behavioral Safety as applicable to the position.
  • Assist in driving a culture of ownership and commitment to these principles which are posted throughout each Oxide facility.
  • Commit to following INEOS’ Life-Saving rules on a daily basis.
