About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and eager-to-learn HR Generalist Intern to join our Corporate Human Resources team. This role offers a unique opportunity to rotate between three teams and gain hands-on experience in compensation analysis, culture & inclusion, and talent & learning. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented individual who is passionate and curious about various areas of HR. This internship is ideal for someone interested in pursuing a career in Human Resources, but may be unsure which function of HR they’re most interested in. Summer internships will begin Monday, June 8, 2026 – August 14, 2026 on a 40-hour work week schedule, with potential to extend or hire.

Requirements

  • Minimum sophomore year standing as of Fall 2025 at an accredited 4-year university/college
  • Pursuing a full-time undergraduate or graduate degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Track record of demonstrable accomplishments in school and at work.

Responsibilities

  • Compensation Review existing local bonus plan documentation for accuracy and completeness according to audit guidelines.
  • Verify that all required elements for local bonus plan documents are included.
  • Follow up with HR to ensure all necessary documentation is received.
  • If required elements are missing, work with HR to obtain updated documentation and confirm inclusion going forward.
  • Maintain records of audit findings and updates.
  • Ensure documentation aligns with company standards and audit requirements.
  • Assist with other compensation-related projects as assigned.
  • Culture & inclusion Assist the Senior Director of Global Culture & Inclusion in global culture and inclusion initiatives, including planning and facilitating periodic Culture & Inclusion Council meetings with Senior HR Leaders
  • Conduct research, create reports on program effort and effectiveness (ESG report), conceptualize community engagement ideas
  • Research Culture & Inclusion topics and their correlation to the initiatives of Terex benchmarking to industry best practices and various culture and inclusion indices
  • Support initiatives of the Terex Affinity Groups Talent & Learning Support preparation for the Terex annual team member engagement survey
  • Research learning tools and AI functionality; assist with development of program materials to support learning
  • Partner with team to update and develop job aids and support materials for year end performance in our Workday system (to reflect new rating scale)
  • Support ad-hoc requests from the global Talent & Learning team
