About The Position

The HR Generalist II is responsible for supporting a wide range of human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and HR operations. This role serves as a key partner to managers and employees, ensuring HR programs and practices are effectively implemented while fostering a positive and compliant work environment. This role operates at the intersection of talent acquisition and strategic HR support, contributing directly to organizational capability, employee engagement, and overall business performance. The HR Generalist II is a key driver of hiring quality and employee experience within the organization.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of HR processes, employment law, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with and influence hiring managers.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and leverage recruiting and HR metrics.
  • Experience supporting employee relations matters with appropriate judgment and escalation.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field required.
  • 3–5 years of HR Generalist experience with a strong emphasis on talent acquisition.
  • 3–5 years of experience recruiting for professional/exempt roles.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree or MBA with an HR concentration preferred (but not required).
  • HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR strongly preferred or willingness to obtain within 12–18 months.

Responsibilities

  • Support full-cycle recruitment with a primary focus on professional/salaried positions while supporting hourly recruitment program when needed.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop job postings and ghSMART interview scorecard.
  • Screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and assist in selection decisions.
  • Facilitate compensation package determination, offer processes and support onboarding activities.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and workplace concerns.
  • Provide guidance to managers on performance management and employee relations issues.
  • Support investigations and documentation of employee issues.
  • Promote a positive employee experience and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS system.
  • Assist with onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle processes with primary focus on professional/salaried positions while supporting operations hourly when needed.
  • Support benefits administration and respond to employee benefit questions.
  • Ensure compliance with BAND-IT/IDEX policies and relevant employment laws.
  • Assist with performance review processes and employee development initiatives.
  • Support training programs and employee engagement activities.
  • Help implement HR programs aligned with business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Support audits and reporting requirements.
  • Generate HR metrics and reports as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
