About The Position

The HR Generalist Coordinator I provides all general support of HR functions to the units in the Manager's absence. Will provide leadership and support to managers and employees throughout the organization. Will assist in identifying best practices and organizational efficiencies, as well as mentor and train line managers to accurately apply human resource policies and programs within the unit.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years in office setting and administrative functions, experience in HR preferred, ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be able to create, plan and manage creative HR strategies
  • Knowledge of EEO laws and general HR policies
  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Previous customer service experience required
  • Shows initiative, follows established procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication & listening skills
  • Demonstrates self-development, and integrity
  • Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing and verbally
  • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
  • Strong digital literacy skills required i.e. Microsoft office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Candidates should have a validated understanding of computers, Microsoft Office, printers, fax machines, telephones, and photocopiers
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, and organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement internal HR processes and procedures within ARAMARK guidelines.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.
  • Develop and advise innovative employee motivation and morale programs.
  • Responsible for day-to-day HR functions including recruiting, staffing, hiring, training, development, coaching, incentives, and disciplinary procedures.
  • Assist in processing payroll.
  • Downloads data from Time Plus and works with support or IT when there is a problem transmitting or with the equipment.
  • Notifies department managers of employees missed punches and/or errors.
  • Accurately inputs data corrections, housing, vacation, PTO, Holiday, salaried employee wages, etc.
  • Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned at the discretion of the manager.
  • Follows ARAMARK policies and procedures and safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
  • May be required to work nights, weekends or as business of component instruct.
  • Ability to arrive at work on time and dressed in uniform.
  • Answering phones
  • Communicates with clients and customers
  • Operates office equipment like fax machines and copiers
  • Consults with higher level authority for resolution of difficult issues
  • Sets up meetings, including preparation, and taking of meeting minutes
  • Responsible for data entry and analytical work
  • Draft, Review, and approve employee disciplinary documentation
  • Provides clerical support
  • Seeks to improve efficiency of daily operations
  • Responsible for reviewing payroll/ holiday pay
  • Maintains timely, accurate and detailed documentation required by management
  • Ensure confidentiality and safeguard personal Identifying information, and other data
  • Outstanding customer service and interact effectively with customers, employees, and the broader community
