About The Position

Tucker Door & Trim is looking for an HR Generalist & Benefits Coordinator to support employees and managers across the employee lifecycle, with a strong focus on benefits, leave administration, records, compliance, and day-to-day HR operations. You’ll bring accuracy, follow-through, and a service mindset to a hands-on HR role that supports our people every day.

Requirements

  • Two or more years of HR experience preferred, with exposure to benefits, leave administration, onboarding, employee records, workers’ compensation, E-Verify, or claims administration.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws, HR compliance practices, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Experience using HRIS/payroll systems; UKG experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Calendar, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong organization, accuracy, follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Clear written and verbal communication and sound judgment when handling sensitive employee information.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting multiple locations or a manufacturing/distribution workforce.
  • Familiarity with benefits administration, open enrollment, COBRA coordination, and leave tracking
  • Ability to build productive working relationships with employees, managers, vendors, and HR leadership.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate onboarding, new-hire paperwork, employee file setup, and accurate HRIS/payroll data entry.
  • Support benefits enrollment, eligibility tracking, employee questions, open enrollment, vendor coordination, and benefit terminations.
  • Administer and track FMLA, medical, and personal leave, including return-to-work documentation.
  • Coordinate employee separation processing, system updates, exit paperwork, final-pay information, and required notifications.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential employee records and support HR reporting, audits, policy communication, and compliance documentation.
  • Assist with workers’ compensation claims, E-Verify, unemployment and Department of Labor claims, wage inquiries, and related follow-up.
  • Plan company events, employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and employee communications.
  • Respond to employee HR questions and partner with HR leadership on complex matters and special projects.
