About The Position

The Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative and operational support for key HR functions, including leave administration, attendance tracking, benefits administration, and job bidding activities. This position serves as a resource for employees and supervisors by ensuring compliance with company policies, collective bargaining agreements, and applicable employment laws while maintaining accurate employee records and delivering excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and leave administration practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • 2+ years of Human Resources, payroll, benefits, leave administration, or related experience preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing and/or unionized environment preferred.
  • Experience with UKG/Kronos or similar HRIS and timekeeping systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administer Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) leave processes from initial request through return to work.
  • Provide employees with required leave notices and documentation.
  • Track leave usage, certifications, recertifications, intermittent leave, and return-to-work requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential leave records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and company requirements.
  • Monitor and maintain employee attendance records in UKG/Kronos.
  • Review attendance exceptions and correct timekeeping discrepancies.
  • Generate attendance reports and communicate trends or concerns to management.
  • Ensure attendance records are accurate for payroll and disciplinary processes.
  • Maintain employee personnel files and HR records.
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, and HR-related communications.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and direct employees to appropriate resources.
  • Support compliance with company policies, labor agreements, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate and administer the job bidding process when needed.
  • Assist with benefit enrollment, changes, and questions regarding company benefit programs when needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee information and HR records.
  • Prepare payroll, attendance, labor, and HR-related reports.
  • Assist with audits and compliance activities.
  • Support compliance with company policies, employment regulations, and the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
