This is the perfect opportunity for a candidate who wants to start their HR career. Within this position you will learn recruiting, hiring, onboarding, benefits administration, leave of absences, and employee relations and so much more.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of human resources experience
  • Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Effective presentation skills
  • Ability to handle confidential data with discretion
  • Good organizational, time management, and workload management skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to use good judgment
  • Computer literate; skilled in automated HR information systems, MS Word, Excel, and e-mail
  • Proficient in multitasking and managing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Takes initiative and is a team player
  • Demonstrates flexibility, adaptability, patience, and timely response to all requests
  • Embraces the diversity of our workforce and community and treats others with respect, without prejudice or bias
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality; consistently reports to work on time prepared to perform duties of the position
  • Able to pass a criminal background check with the State of Washington and maintain clearance during employment
  • Valid driver's license

Nice To Haves

  • Education or certification in Human Resources will be a plus

Responsibilities

  • Administers new hire onboarding, employee relations, including workplace investigations, workplace injury reporting, and leave of absence administration.
  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment, recruitment, interview coordination, and other recruiting activities.
  • Ensures consistent implementation of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Provides administrative support to the HR function, including maintaining employee records, managing personnel files, and ensuring accurate HRIS data entry.
