About The Position

Riverview Health and Rehab Jefferson is seeking an experienced and dynamic HR professional for a pivotal on-site HR Coordinator position. The ideal candidate will be interested in developing and expanding their knowledge and influence in the field of HR, demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and be a self-motivated professional while providing first-rate HR service to employees, managers, and leaders. The Human Resources Coordinator is a generalist role responsible for a variety of on-site tasks relating to Human Resources functions including, but not limited to, Recruitment and Retention, Administration of Benefits, HRIS Database entry and management, Employee Relations, and ensuring compliance of the policies and procedures pertinent to Human Resources as set forth by the Company and state or federal regulation or law.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred, or demonstrated equivalence of experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including leading difficult conversations and conflict resolution.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred, minimum of two (2) years’ experience in HR in a Skilled Nursing, Elder Care, or Healthcare setting.
  • HRIS Database experience desired, paycom experience highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and execute new-hire orientation processes, including training and data entry
  • Assist employees in completion of benefit package paperwork and execute enrollment and/or termination of benefit plans.
  • Input new employees into the HRIS system (paycom)
  • Establish and maintain personnel files for all employees in accordance with current policies on content and confidentiality.
  • Provide all necessary payroll documentation to process all claims for Unemployment Compensation benefits.
  • Be the onsite HR Representative, and consistently open and responsive to employment requests/questions from employees and leaders
  • Process third-party requests as requested and appropriate
  • Demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks/responsibilities and complete duties within allotted time.
  • Attend and participate in facility meetings, including those related to Infection Control/Safety/Quality Improvement if requested and/or assigned.
  • Assist other HR Team Members and Director of Workforce Development as needed.
  • Engage in growth and continuing education opportunities appropriate to responsibilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
