Position Overview The Human Resources Coordinator position will provide support in the administration and coordination activities of the SubCom Human Resources department.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience exercising discretion and maintaining confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information
  • Demonstrated experience establishing and maintaining effective work relationships with others in a service environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Related degree preferred, or minimum 5 years’ related Human Resources experience required
  • Excellent customer service and relationship building skills
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills with a strong sense of urgency and ability to handle multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
  • Detail oriented, high level of accuracy in work product, with exemplary organizational and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of HR policies and practices, employment and benefits laws and regulations preferred
  • Ability to interact at all levels of the organization both within HR and throughout the company, including with external parties
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Highly flexible and motivated individual with an ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
  • Strong Microsoft Office and proficiency in Excel required
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Must be able to pass a Background Check, Drug Screen and Credit Check
  • Onsite requirement, Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3:00pm with a 30 min. unpaid lunch

Responsibilities

  • Main point of contact with employees on a variety of health and welfare issues including claim issues, plan design questions
  • Provide HR administrative/clerical support to include HRIS data entry, processing invoices and filing
  • Provide face to face support to employees on HR related inquiries
  • Administer tuition reimbursement process
  • Audit benefits related data, including enrollments and benefits deductions
  • Support the open enrollment process, including assisting with system set up, employee training, and reporting as requested
  • Support onboarding activities including providing training to new employees in benefits , assisting with enrollments and tracking of enrollment activity
  • Resolve any Oracle HRIS IT issues with our IT group – main contact with IT group
  • Support HR projects and deliverables for various benefits and compensation initiatives and other special projects
  • Responsible for disability management – act as liaison with employee and TPA
  • Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities.
  • Responsible for life events, input into Oracle HRIS, and coordination with employees
  • Organize and expedite flow of work to ensure all critical deliverables meet deadlines
  • Identify areas of opportunity to improve processes and optimize efficiency
  • Collaborate with SubCom HR team to implement site specific wellness and engagement initiatives
  • Coordinate benefits engagement events such as Lunch and Learns, Open Houses and annual picnics
  • Create and update spreadsheets, PowerPoint decks and organizational charts in support of assigned projects
  • Assist and advise employees and managers regarding HR procedures and policies within the specified guidelines
  • Other HR activities as assigned
