About The Position

This is not a typical HR Coordinator role. It is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being in the middle of the action. This role is at one of the largest and busiest hotels in the region, with over 620 guest rooms, airline business, multiple departments, a unionized workforce, ongoing recruiting needs, employee relations matters, compliance requirements, and daily operational challenges. The successful candidate must be comfortable working independently, making decisions, managing priorities, and taking ownership of their responsibilities. The role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on HR experience in a large, full-service Marriott environment while working alongside experienced operational and HR leaders. This role will accelerate development faster than most entry-level HR opportunities and offers an opportunity to learn, grow, and make a meaningful impact every day.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of Human Resources experience
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills

  • Recruiting for multiple open positions
  • Scheduling interviews
  • Conducting pre-screen interviews
  • Processing background checks
  • Preparing offer letters
  • Coordinating onboarding activities
  • Maintaining employee files
  • Conducting I-9 audits
  • Assisting with payroll inquiries
  • Tracking attendance concerns
  • Supporting employee relations matters

  • Supporting management with HR questions
  • Assisting with training and development initiatives
  • Helping ensure compliance with union agreements and company policies
