About The Position

The HR Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role supports day-to-day HR activities including employee data management, scheduling, travel coordination, HR programs and meetings, and first-level employee support. The HR Coordinator maintains accurate employee records, assists with benefits and leave administration, responds to associate inquiries, and supports HR reporting and compliance. This role plays a key part in keeping HR organized, responsive, and employee-focused while partnering closely with HR Business Partners and People Leaders.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across the HR team and with cross-functional partners
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and follow up independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word); Workday experience a plus
  • Professional, polished demeanor with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to take on new requests and shifting priorities
  • Proactive problem-solver who asks thoughtful questions and makes informed suggestions
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive, confidential, and proprietary information with discretion and integrity
  • Outgoing, calm under pressure, and collaborative—serving as a reliable liaison and point of contact for HR leaders
  • Two or more years of HR or administrative experience preferred
  • Experience working with HRIS systems (Workday strongly preferred)
  • Ability to work independently

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and timely employee data entries and updates in the HRIS (Workday), including new hires, job changes, and terminations
  • Customize and run HR reports and queries from Workday as requested
  • Create, maintain, and audit personnel and termination files in accordance with federal, state, and company retention requirements
  • Ensure confidentiality and integrity of all HR records
  • Assist with benefits administration activities, including enrollments, changes, and annual open enrollment initiatives
  • Support leave administration processes including FMLA, ADA, workers’ compensation, and other leaves of absence
  • Escalate complex employee relations or benefits issues to the HR Manager as appropriate
  • Prepare accurate and timely HR-related reports, metrics, and correspondence
  • Support compliance efforts related to labor laws, audits, and internal HR standards
  • Coordinate employee engagement activities, recognition programs, team lunches and on-site events, ensuring smooth execution and a polished experience
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to HR leaders, including real-time coordination of meetings, appointments, and shifting priorities
  • Review, prioritize, and manage incoming emails, phone calls, and correspondence, screening inquiries from vendors, employees, and external contacts
  • Own calendar management and meeting scheduling for HR leaders; proactively update and adjust events throughout the day as needs change
  • Arrange and manage travel and expenses, including flights and accommodations for HR leaders as needed
  • Prepare and distribute monthly company directory and associate communications (birthdays, anniversaries, bereavements)
  • Manage HR mail, supply inventory, and Self-Service Wall updates
  • Answer multi-line switchboard and direct inquiries as needed
  • Assist with vendor management, including vendor setup and invoice tracking
  • Take on additional projects and administrative initiatives as requested
