DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Payroll – Responsible for processing payroll for hourly teammates 1. Timely completion of all new hire documentation, including attachment in HR system 2. Weekly timecard review and submittal along with any training and transfer pay. 3. Completion of status change forms, review of pay changes, accuracy of positions/shifts, and PTO payout, 4. Review and weekly posting of attendance points for teammates. 5. Teammate termination process 2. Recruitment – Responsible for hiring, onboarding, and orientation of new teammates to ensure the facility is fully staffed 1. Advertise open positions appropriately 2. Source and screen qualified applicants 3. Schedules all pre-employment screening for candidates 4. Completes new hire onboarding and orientation 5. Track recruitment progress and costs for all plant staff openings 3. Benefits – Responsible for the administration of all benefits enrollment. 1. Supports and assists benefits enrollment, changes, and issues, especially during open enrollment 2. Monitor and assist teammates in new hire and qualifying Life Events completion. 3. Works with corporate HR to answer questions and resolve problems, as needed 4. Maintains basic knowledge and understanding of benefits, FMLA, COBRA, qualifying events, etc. 4. Wellness – Responsible for administering wellness initiatives for teammates at the facility 1. Informs teammates of wellness incentives 2. Communicates and encourages participation in company wellness challenges 3. Manages spring wellness screenings for the entire plant facility 4. Ensure wellness screening enrollment is completed timely for new hires 5. Teammate Relations – Responsible for supporting teammates and plant management in resolving teammate relations issues and assisting in conflict resolution 1. Field teammate complaints and work to resolve issues to the extent possible 2. Properly document corrective actions, including attaching signed corrective actions in the HR system 3. Communicate and work with corporate HR and Legal to resolve teammate relation issues that are complex or have legal risk considerations 6. Communication – Responsible for actively listening and communicating with plant management, teammate, Safety, Corporate HR, and Legal. 1. Help teammates understand policies, procedures, and culture 2. Be available to teammates for questions, including periodically for off-shifts 3. Communicate with Corporate HR – teammates on leave, questions, issues, concerns, policy exception requests, abuse of policies, compliance concerns, challenges, etc. 4. Communicate and distribute information as requested by Corporate HR, Safety, and Legal 7. Safety – Supports plant leadership to ensure all safety policies and procedures are being implemented and followed 1. Assists safety coordinator with incident investigations 2. As needed, assist safety coordinator when logging safety records for teammates safety training and safety rewards activities 3. Reports and follows up on all Worker’s Compensation claims 8. General HR Administration 1. Maintain accurate teammate information in the HR system 2. Review and ensure completion of hourly performance appraisals, including attaching in the HR system 3. Accurate and timely entry of teammate termination, including attaching separation form in the HR system 4. Keep legal notice postings up to date 5. Serves as back-up Office Assistant as required 9. Other duties as assigned
