Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of high-volume Construction Recruitment.
  • Minimum 3+ years as a HR Coordinator/Generalist.
  • Ability and experience working in a faced paced and high-volume environment.
  • Enrollment in, or completion of, Human Resources or Business Administration certificate, diploma, degree or equivalent experience.
  • High degree of quality in regards to; attention to detail, organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge and working understanding on the Employment Standards Code and the Human Rights Act.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Specifically strong in Excel, Outlook and Word).
  • Ability to keep a high level of confidentiality.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills and previous experience conducting employee relation investigations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Extremely reliable, mature and professional.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Highly resourceful, intuitive and flexible.
  • Driver’s license (non GDL) required, as occasional daily travel required within Edmonton and greater area.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support in full cycle recruitment including creating and posting job advertisements, sourcing, pre-screening resumes, identifying, reference checking and setting up interviews with prospective candidates.
  • Analyze recruitment needs and skill gaps.
  • Utilize knowledge of multiple recruiting sources and execute innovative recruiting strategies to find quality candidates.
  • Manages candidate status through the use of our applicant tracking system; ICIMS.
  • Work with hiring managers on strategies to find the right talent at the right time based on the workforce plan and budget.
  • Maintain accurate records and participate in the resolution of problems and concerns.
  • Proactively handle employee relations ensuring to build strong relationships with all employees and leaders.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in HR policies & strategy through consulting, collaboration – providing advice and guidance to internal stakeholders.
  • Facilitation of onboarding process and hire-on paperwork.
  • Monitor and assist with HR inquiries made by phone and email.
  • Provide a high level of customer service and professionalism to internal and external clients.
  • Assist with administration functions within the HR department.
