About The Position

The Temporary HR Coordinator provides essential administrative, data entry, and front-office support to the Human Resources department and will report to the Director, with a secondary reporting line to the People Operations/HR Business Partner. This role ensures timely processing of personnel actions, accurate maintenance of digital HR records, and responsive service to employees. The position supports payroll, onboarding, internal tracking systems, and general HR operations as assigned by the supervisor. This is a temporary position limited to a maximum of 9 months from the date of hire. This position is required to work on-site 8am-5pm Monday-Friday. Temporary employees accrue one hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked, capped at 48 hours.

Requirements

  • One (1) year of experience in a position where your primary responsibility was confidential document administration.
  • Experience must clearly demonstrate the receipt, review, and data entry of source material into a computer database for use by others.
  • Experience maintaining information in an HRIS.
  • Must be a state of Colorado resident.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with Microsoft (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated experience using a HRIS.
  • Previous experience constructing forms using Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for HR by answering inquiries, managing incoming mail, and monitoring voicemails.
  • Maintain and update employee distribution lists to ensure accurate internal communication.
  • Distribute departmental correspondence and support general office administrative systems, including printer access and mailbox assignments.
  • Provide backup support for new hire orientation held twice monthly.
  • Process employment verifications and student loan forgiveness documentation in a timely manner.
  • Track and follow up on missing new-hire documentation to ensure timely completion of onboarding requirements.
  • Scan, save, and file personnel documents in accordance with HR recordkeeping standards.
  • Maintain organized and compliant personnel files and digital archives.
  • Enter personnel actions - including hires, terminations, salary adjustments, promotions, employee information changes, and payroll-related updates into the HRIS with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Update internal tracking tools to ensure data accuracy and alignment with HR processes.
  • Assist with payroll audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Process payroll-related adjustments, such as parking deductions and other employee-specific updates.
  • Support the payroll team with documentation, tracking, and follow-up as needed.
  • Support departmental projects, audits, and administrative initiatives as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Assist HR leadership with special assignments requiring organization, documentation, or data coordination.
