About The Position

As an HR Consultant, you’ll help shape Justworks’ Customer Success Organization strategy by partnering closely with the Customer Success and Support teams to deliver Human Resources tools and guidance to Justworks’ customers. You are passionate about a career path as a customer-facing HR practitioner. You genuinely enjoy figuring out how and why things work and are excited by opportunities to drive improvements. You are comfortable handling challenging situations over the phone, with the ability to be empathetic, compassionate, responsive and resourceful. You like learning about new products and subject matter (such as employment law updates), and helping others learn as well.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience at the HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, HR Manager or Employee Relations Manager level
  • At least 1 of the following HR certifications: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP
  • If not certified, certification must be obtained within the first six months of employment - Justworks will provide financial support

Nice To Haves

  • Multi-state HR experience a plus
  • Experience in tech, SaaS, and/or PEO environments a plus

Responsibilities

  • Communicate directly with customers regarding HR inquiries, displaying high levels of professionalism, ownership, and compassion
  • Independently manage and prioritize a high-volume queue of complex HR and compliance questions, offering clear best practices guidance and effective options while ensuring timely, high-quality responses
  • Explain complicated compliance and HR concepts in simple, user-friendly terms
  • Balance customer-facing work with participation in ongoing team and departmental projects that improve internal processes and the overall customer experience
  • Create and update HR-related content for both external and internal uses
  • Serve as a representative for the team and subject matter expert in presentations, training sessions, and inter-departmental initiatives
  • Liaise with Compliance to uphold Justworks’ standards as a co-employer and demonstrate discretion as to when issues warrant escalation
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
