About The Position

The HR Compliance Senior Specialist is responsible for identifying and monitoring employment compliance obligations across all applicable federal, state, and local jurisdictions. This role leads initiatives related to employment practices compliance, implements relevant programs, and audits those programs to ensure ongoing adherence. The specialist researches emerging compliance issues, collects and analyzes compliance-related data, and supports management in maintaining compliance with employment laws, wage and hour regulations, payroll practices, and other HR-related activities. This individual ensures company policies, procedures, and practices align with current employment laws and regulations nationwide.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree plus 5-7 years’ experience in employment law compliance, experience researching employment laws, experience implementing and monitoring a compliance program or advanced degree and equivalent work experience.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational and work prioritization skills.
  • Ability to create, maintain, and improve processes to increase overall team efficiency.
  • Exemplary analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills including experience with analyzing large amounts of data and developing metrics, reporting mechanisms, and audit reports.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the company’s end-to-end immigration sponsorship programs, including work visas and employment-based green card processes, ensuring regulatory compliance and timely, accurate case management.
  • Compiles and interprets HR data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement in compliance practices; presents findings and actionable recommendations to HR leadership.
  • Serve as an integral partner and resource for Workday compliance system enhancements to identify opportunities for system configuration improvements, automation, and process optimization related to onboarding workflows, compliance tracking and document management.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including but not limited to FLSA, ADA, FMLA, EEOC guidelines, and applicable state/local labor laws; communicates changes and supports implementation of necessary policy or process adjustments.
  • Conduct audits and analyzes data related to human resource compliance with federal, state, and local jurisdiction.
  • Implements special projects by clarifying project objectives, setting timetables and schedules; conducting research; developing and organizing information.
  • Leads HR compliance training efforts by researching state-specific legal and regulatory requirements, partnering with stakeholders to design and deploy training programs, managing the training calendar, and tracking completion to support organizational compliance.
