About The Position

The HR Compliance Specialist will perform transactional functions to ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements in relation to screening and hiring potential employees as well as adhering to client contractual and general safety obligations. Transactional functions include, but are not limited to, managing adverse employment notices, running reports and completing internal audits to ensure HR systems integrity, completing adverse action notices, managing routine continuous driver monitoring and motor vehicle record (MVR) notices, and supporting field partners and employees with drug and alcohol testing procedures. The HR Compliance Specialist will support the HR Compliance Manager with additional daily functions and special projects as needed, as well as serve a supporting role for Operations and field personnel in resolving issues with applicant screening and other compliance issues.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of related compliance experience
  • Experience with managing FCRA compliance
  • DISA experience
  • Time management and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently (self-starter)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to meet all daily and weekly deadlines
  • Ability to perform other duties as assigned

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to HR Compliance Manager with all assigned tasks.
  • Assist HR Compliance team with ensuring all USA DeBusk employees maintain adherence with client requirements, including but not limited to the applicant screening process, drug and alcohol program requirements, background screenings, and driver monitoring.
  • Provide direct support to Operations leadership and field personnel as needed to maintain compliance with all client requirements.
  • Execute adverse employment action notices in compliance with FCRA and other legal requirements.
  • Assist in the maintenance of employee rosters for drug and alcohol program rosters and continuous driver monitoring rosters utilizing a variety of internal and third-party administrator (TPA) systems and tools.
  • Conduct internal monitoring and auditing of HR compliance programs (both DOT and client-required) utilizing a variety of system reports.
  • Conduct background checks through multiple screening entities, including specific customer requests.
  • Conduct motor vehicle record (MVR) requests and entering MVR information into appropriate HR systems.
  • Schedule job applicant screenings such as pre-employment drug and alcohol tests and functional assessments (as needed).
  • Ensure adherence to record retention requirements.
  • Maintain working knowledge of current legislative, regulatory, and client requirements.
