The HR Compliance Analyst will assist in monitoring changes in employment laws and regulations, driving compliance with federal, state, and local laws, and preparing and filing required compliance reports. This role involves conducting quality controls, supporting system updates, providing training to the HR team, serving as a subject matter expert on HR compliance, identifying and mitigating risks, and maintaining accurate records of compliance activities and audits. The analyst will also ensure proper documentation of HR compliance programs and work across departments to ensure compliance with applicable state laws.

Requirements

  • General Knowledge of Risk Management Programs
  • General Knowledge of Business Continuity Programs
  • Basic understanding of Risk Control Self-Assessment and identifying risk and controls within HR functions

Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring changes in employment laws and regulations
  • Assist in driving compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulatory guidance
  • Prepares and files compliance reports as required by law (EEO-1, VETS-4212, and Affirmative Action Plans (AAP))
  • Conduct regular Quality Controls (QCs) to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations
  • Support key processes and system updates across internal/external stakeholders
  • Updates core HCM System (Workday) as needed with documentation and process updates; ability to pull reports and key data as requested
  • Provide training, as needed to HR team on various compliance related initiatives
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert resource for HR team on HR compliance topics
  • Identify potential HR compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them
  • Maintain accurate records of compliance activities and audits
  • Ensure proper documentation of HR compliance programs and activities
  • Ability to work across HR and other departments to ensure compliance with all applicable state(s) laws
