About The Position

JLL is seeking a talented and experienced HR Business Partner to support their Central Region for US Leasing. This role is a critical member of the Leasing HR leadership team, responsible for driving operational excellence and leading change within a complex organization. The HRBP will partner with Business Leaders and their teams to ensure strategic alignment and impactful execution of their people strategy across multiple markets in the Central Region. This is an on-site role based in the Chicago office.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in Human Resources
  • Superior leadership skills, ability to empower, mentor and take the team to further success.
  • Bachelor’s degree with a major/minor or emphasis in HR or another relevant field is required.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • A dynamic HRBP with people management and relationship building experience, with ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Track record as a trusted partner and someone who influences business leaders and strategic direction of the organization.
  • Strong analytics, business and financial acumen
  • Ability to lead within a matrixed organization (comfort in managing and coaching teams with indirect reporting lines).
  • Effectively manage demanding clients/business leaders and show courage to advocate your personal point of view.
  • Ability to proactively identify and resolve issues as they arise, with a risk and compliance mind-set.
  • High integrity and strong work ethic.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty; agile and able to lead others through complex situations.

  • Professional qualification and/or advanced degree (master’s or above) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR contact for the Regional Leasing Lead, implementing the talent strategy and developing a people agenda that drives business outcomes.
  • Act as an advocate of the wider HR function, leveraging Centers of Excellence (Talent and Rewards) and Business Services teams to meet strategic HR needs.
  • Lead on Talent & Transformation initiatives including Talent Acquisition Strategy, Talent Development, Employee Value Proposition, Engagement, Reward, Performance Management, and Employee Relations.
  • Execute JLL’s people strategy and develop a people agenda aligned with the overall Business strategy.
  • Provide HR perspective (strategy, scope, process, impact) to business decisions.
  • Partner with Business leaders to influence, develop, and integrate targeted people strategies based on situational analysis to drive business objectives.
  • Operate as an objective and trusted advisor, providing coaching to elevate the leadership team.
  • Understand the business, including strategy, P&L, and key initiatives.
  • Communicate HR analytics, providing insights and strategic direction for business growth and HR improvement.
  • Provide commercially sound solutions to support business objectives.
  • Partner to drive acquisition, development, engagement, recognition, and productivity of the workforce.
  • Create and execute a comprehensive People Strategy focused on diversity, valuing and treating employees to foster excellence.
  • Build and unlock leadership and management capability amongst local leadership across the Region.
  • Manage executive stakeholders with potentially competing priorities.
  • Enable HR delivery through the JLL HR model, working closely with Talent & Rewards CoE to define talent and reward strategies.
  • Ensure the development of a diverse talent pipeline across all levels to manage current and future business needs.
  • Oversee annual goal setting & performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, and compensation plan reviews.
  • Implement fit-for-purpose Rewards strategies.
