About The Position

AlertMedia is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join their growing People team in their downtown Austin headquarters. The People team provides a world-class HR experience from candidate interview stage to new hire orientation and throughout an employee's career at AlertMedia. The HRBP will partner with business leaders to develop and execute Human Resources priorities that enable business goals and enhance the employee experience. This role will directly support the Engineering and Product organizations and will play a key role in bringing the total rewards strategy to life across the organization. The HRBP will collaborate with professionals in the HR, Talent Acquisition, and Learning & Development teams to deliver on People initiatives across AlertMedia. The ideal candidate will partner with business leaders, identify and drive appropriate solutions aligned with the company's culture and values.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of HRBP experience in a technology company, with majority in the software tech industry; SaaS experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience directly supporting Engineering and/or Product leaders as an embedded HRBP.
  • Direct ownership experience with compensation and leveling — building or administering career architecture, job leveling frameworks, or comp bands.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, rapid growth organization.
  • Demonstrated experience using AI tools to improve efficiency, enhance analysis, solve business problems, and increase productivity.
  • Demonstrated achievements in coaching, influencing and problem solving.
  • Strong judgment and experience coaching senior leaders.
  • Broad experience and knowledge of various aspects of human resources, including employee relations, learning, and performance.
  • Self-starter and team player, willing to jump in on all projects as needed.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and prioritization skills, with a commitment to providing outstanding support to all employees.
  • Existing authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with shift-based teams is a plus.
  • Familiarity with international compensation complexity, particularly Mexico and/or Brazil, is a plus.
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for adopting emerging AI technologies in HR are highly valued.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior leaders and their leadership teams to develop department talent strategies needed to support growth.
  • Function as a consultant and counselor to key leaders and their respective organizations.
  • Partner with the business on organizational design, workforce planning, talent review, performance management, and skills assessment and development.
  • Own the implementation of career architecture and leveling frameworks with leaders, translating total rewards strategy into structures client groups understand, adopt, and use consistently.
  • Ensure leveling, promotion criteria, and compensation messaging are applied consistently across HRBPs and client groups; drive shared standards.
  • Create, review, and analyze business metrics including retention, employee experience, performance management, and employee trends to recommend improvements.
  • Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to improve People team processes, generate insights from workforce data, automate administrative tasks, and identify opportunities to enhance the employee experience.
  • Work with line managers and employees to address employee relations issues; conduct investigations, mitigate risks, and provide fair and equitable best practices.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Act as a trusted, expert HR resource for employees, with a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
