About The Position

As a Human Resources Business Partner – Retail, you’ll be an advisor and thought partner to leaders, elevating people strategies that directly support our Retail Asset Protection teams—the teams that help keep our stores safe, secure, and operating at their best. You will provide strategic and hands-on HR leadership to management and employees, delivering a full spectrum of strategic and tactical HR support aligned with Sephora’s talent goals. Your work plays a critical role in supporting Asset Protection leaders who safeguard our people, products, and spaces, enabling a workplace where teams can focus on delivering exceptional experiences. The impact you make goes beyond policies and processes—you’ll help strengthen leadership capability, engagement, and accountability within Asset Protection, while reinforcing a positive, inclusive, and high-performing culture. You’ll partner closely with Retail Asset Protection leaders and collaborate across teams, all united in living Sephora’s values and driving long-term success.

Requirements

  • Progressive human resources experience including HR Business Partner or generalist roles, preferably in retail or multi-unit environments.
  • Experience in Retail and Asset Protection is a plus.
  • Proven ability to lead through change, influence decisions, and build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Broad knowledge across performance management, succession planning, employee relations, employment law and compliance, leave of absences, and accommodations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret HR data, build presentations, tell a story with data, and make actionable recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously, take initiative, and consistently deliver high-quality work while maintaining ownership of outcomes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Regional Asset Protection Directors and District Asset Protection Managers to align HR strategies with business goals.
  • Advise leaders on talent decisions, team dynamics, leadership development, and lead change management efforts to support organizational effectiveness.
  • Drive performance management and feedback processes, lead talent reviews, succession planning, promotions, and leadership coaching.
  • Facilitate training and development initiatives and manage annual HR cycles including performance reviews, talent calibration, and compensation planning.
  • Champion a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Lead employee engagement and retention strategies aligned with Sephora’s values.
  • Analyze HR metrics such as turnover, engagement, and absenteeism to identify trends, support data-driven decision making, and recommend solutions.
  • Support culture-building programs that foster high performance and employee satisfaction.
  • Conduct and manage employee relations investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
  • Manage leave of absence and accommodation processes, and handle sensitive employee matters with confidentiality and integrity.
  • Assist with cyclical HR programs and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Coordinate training logistics, support overflow tasks, and lead or contribute to ad hoc projects, process improvements, and special assignments as needed.
  • Support execution of broader HR initiatives across the region and company.
