About The Position

Karbon is seeking a highly skilled and AI-centric HR Business Partner to join their People team. This role will serve as a strategic partner to senior leaders, primarily supporting the Customer and Sales teams. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of business operations, AI tools, and the people discipline to drive performance, engagement, and provide valuable business insights. This is a proactive, business-facing role that goes beyond case management, focusing on anticipating challenges and leveraging AI to enhance HR functions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including business partnering and a strong generalist background.
  • Prior SaaS or high-growth tech experience is essential.
  • Genuine GTM domain fluency — baseline knowledge of key metrics relevant to a Customer and Sales org (GDR, NDR, churn, pipeline coverage, quota attainment) and ability to use them naturally in people conversations.
  • Proactive partnering instinct; review data, attend business reviews, and bring people insights before leaders know they need them.
  • Demonstrated ability to build credibility at a senior level.
  • Proven ability to challenge leaders constructively.
  • Data fluency — ability to build compelling narratives from people data, increasingly powered by AI, that influence strategic decisions.
  • Hands-on fluency with AI tools and agentic workflows — actively use them every day to improve output, automate repetitive work, and move faster.
  • Strong working knowledge of US employment law and HR compliance.
  • Project driver: known for delivering results across multiple initiatives simultaneously without close supervision.
  • Experience coaching senior leaders through org design decisions, workforce planning, and the strategic and human implications of building AI-augmented teams.
  • Unquestioned integrity, high EQ, and personal maturity.
  • Genuine curiosity about where AI is taking the future of work.

Responsibilities

  • Partner proactively and deeply with senior leaders across Customer and Sales, understanding their commercial model, team dynamics, and company metrics to shape the people agenda.
  • Actively use AI tools and agentic workflows to surface insights, automate routine work, and elevate the quality of HR deliverables.
  • Use AI to effectively report and manage complex employment relations cases, while coaching leaders to own them.
  • Review and stay current on various reporting for client groups, connecting metrics to people strategy.
  • Challenge leaders constructively, balancing support with the willingness to push back on decisions with people or business risk, using data and AI-generated insights.
  • Leverage people data and analytics, powered by AI, to build narratives that drive leadership alignment.
  • Own and drive HR project management across client groups, ensuring initiatives are structured, on track, and delivered to a high standard, with AI embedded in execution.
  • Build trusted, high-quality relationships with VP and C-suite level stakeholders, acting as a peer to the business.
  • Be a change agent for people programs, influencing without authority and driving adoption with credibility and evidence.
  • Partner closely with People Ops, TA, and L&D to deliver a seamless employee experience.
  • Contribute to global People initiatives across Karbon's operating regions.
