About The Position

This role will provide HR support and assistance to employees on a professional level, carrying out responsibilities in functional areas such as safety, recruitment, retention, staffing, benefit administration, employee relations, records maintenance, policy implementation, and employment law compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience
  • 3-5+ years' experience within Human Resources in a manufacturing environment

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management
  • PHR or other relevant certification preferred
  • Demonstrates an understanding of HR best practices and current regulations
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Knowledge and experience in human resources policies/practices, benefits, and staffing
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
  • Exceptional computer skills

Responsibilities

  • Partner with operations teams to develop strategies to recruit, develop and retain a skilled workforce
  • Responsible for the recruitment and selection of employees by posting job openings, reviewing applications, and screening/interviewing applicants
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data and trends
  • Develop human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information and recommending courses of action
  • Review employment transactions for accuracy (ie annual reviews, promotions, transfers, new hire paperwork)
  • Responsible for HR compliance by participating in monthly, quarterly and annual compliance audits and training
  • Supervise the orientation process by ensuring the completion of all necessary paperwork, conducting company tours and presenting information on company policies and procedures
  • Assist in affirmative action
  • Assist in identifying, developing and facilitating employee training
  • Supervise the day-to-day activities of the HR team members
  • Participate in teams (ie HR Strategy Teams, Safety and Plant Continuous Improvement Teams)
  • Provide support to supervisors and managers regarding personnel issues while ensuring policies and procedures are administered fairly and consistently
  • Provide high-quality advice and service to management on daily employee relations and performance management issues
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and incorporate safety and health in all jobs and tasks
  • Adhere to Quality work practices, follow GMP's, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained
