About The Position

The HR Talent Partner (HRTP) – Digital & Technology is a strategic partner to leaders across Guardian’s Digital & Technology (D&T) organization, enabling the execution of business and transformation priorities through effective talent, organizational, and leadership strategies. This role works closely with senior Technology leaders to align talent strategy with enterprise priorities, support operating model evolution, and drive organizational effectiveness. The HRTP will play a critical role in enabling Guardian’s transformation agenda, including digital modernization, AI transformation, and the evolution to product- and platform-based ways of working while readying the workforce for the future.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including HR Business Partner or Talent Partner roles and developing junior HRTPs.
  • Experience supporting Technology, Digital, Engineering, or Data organizations
  • Demonstrated experience in organizational design, talent strategy, and large-scale transformation
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, without the need for employer sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in agile or product-platform based operating models preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Technology, Data, Digital, and Product leadership teams
  • Translate business and transformation priorities into actionable talent strategies
  • Partner with leaders to drive execution against business goals through organizational effectiveness
  • Enable alignment between Talent & Culture COE priorities and enterprise strategy
  • Lead organizational design and restructuring efforts aligned to business needs and future-state operating models and future of work
  • Assess organization effectiveness (spans, layers, roles, and capabilities) and recommend improvements
  • Support transition to agile, product- and platform-based models where applicable
  • Ensure clarity of roles, accountabilities, and decision-making structures
  • Develop and execute workforce plans aligned to current and future capability needs
  • Identify skills gaps and implement build/buy/borrow talent strategies
  • Partner on hiring strategies to support digital, engineering, and data capabilities
  • Drive internal mobility and career pathing across Technology
  • Lead talent review processes, including succession planning and pipeline development
  • Identify and develop high-potential talent and critical role successors
  • Drive capability planning aligned to enterprise and D&T needs
  • Strengthen leadership bench and readiness for future roles
  • Coach leaders on performance management, team effectiveness, and leadership behaviors
  • Support leaders in navigating organizational change and transformation initiatives
  • Partner with COEs to deliver leadership and capability development programs
  • Enable development of future-ready skills (digital, data, AI, product)
  • Guide leaders through performance management processes
  • Analyze engagement and Voice of Colleague insights
  • Improve team health, culture, and engagement
  • Support retention strategies for critical talent
  • Lead HR partnership for transformation initiatives
