About The Position

We’re looking for a HR Business Partner to join our team and become a go-to resource for our coworkers and leaders regarding payroll & benefits. This is a great opportunity for someone who knows payroll and benefits inside and out, enjoys solving problems, and genuinely likes helping people. You’ll take ownership of the day-to-day administration of payroll and benefits across our locations in Ohio, Alabama, and Florida, while also working alongside the rest of our HR team on the broader coworker experience. If you’re someone who catches the details others miss, can make complicated payroll or benefits questions easier to understand, and enjoys being part of a collaborative HR team, you may be exactly who we’re looking for.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of HR generalist experience with direct responsibility for benefits & payroll.
  • Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
  • Experience using HRIS and timekeeping systems (Paylocity experience is a plus).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust at all levels.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and process full-cycle payroll for hourly and salaried coworkers across Ohio, Alabama, and Florida.
  • Review timekeeping, wage adjustments, bonuses, deductions, garnishments, and other payroll changes for accuracy.
  • Help ensure federal, state, and local taxes are withheld and remitted correctly.
  • Reconcile payroll and support quarter-end and year-end activities, including W-2s and tax filings.
  • Research and resolve payroll questions or discrepancies quickly and accurately.
  • Partner with Finance and other teams as needed to keep payroll processes running smoothly.
  • Oversee day-to-day administration of our employee benefits programs.
  • Coordinate open enrollment and work closely with benefit vendors and third-party administrators.
  • Administer COBRA and benefit continuation requirements.
  • Reconcile monthly benefit invoices.
  • Help coworkers understand their benefits, eligibility, and available resources.
  • Support wellness initiatives and administer our tuition reimbursement program.
