About The Position

Fisher Industries is seeking a bilingual and enthusiastic, people-focused HR Business Partner – Onboarding Specialist to join their growing HR team in Tempe, AZ. The role focuses on creating a positive onboarding experience for new employees, managing the end-to-end onboarding process, and serving as a key resource for new hires and hiring managers. The company is a vertically integrated family of businesses providing heavy civil construction and aggregate products across the United States with over 70 years of experience.

Requirements

  • Native or professional fluency in Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing) is required.
  • 2+ years in Human Resources, with strong emphasis on onboarding, employee relations, or talent coordination.
  • Previous experience in Construction or Manufacturing is highly preferred.
  • Adaptable to a fast-paced environment with willingness to support various HR functions with ability to work overtime and participate in overnight/weekend travel when needed or directed.
  • Advanced knowledge and ability utilizing Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Pre-employment drug testing is required.

Responsibilities

  • Orchestrate all new hire coordination, including offer paperwork, Form I-9 verification, pre-employment screenings, and equipment readiness.
  • Serve as a dedicated point of contact for new hires and hiring managers, providing "white glove" service and initiative-taking updates on onboarding status.
  • Facilitate engaging orientation sessions and deliver company policy introductions in both English and Spanish.
  • Maintain meticulous records in onboarding trackers and HRIS, ensuring 100% adherence to federal, state, and company regulations.
  • Collaborate with leaders to ensure role-specific materials and resources are prepared for a new hire's start date.
  • Assist the broader HR Team with day-to-day administration of the department and assist with HR projects and reporting as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while managing sensitive company and employee information.
