As we continue to rapidly grow, we have a career opportunity available for a talented and motivated individual to join our Taylor Farms Arizona team located in Tolleson. The bilingual HR Assistant I supports the daily operations of the Human Resources Department by assisting with recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, compliance activities, and employee relations support. This position serves as a first point of contact for employees and managers while ensuring confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance with company policies, and applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.

Requirements

  • Bilingual English/Spanish (Fluent spoken, read, write) required.
  • Strong knowledge of Outlook and Word.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and escalate issues appropriately.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of Human Resources, administrative, clerical, or customer service experience preferred.
  • May substitute education with experience or experience with education.
  • Experience in manufacturing, food production, agriculture, restaurant chains, or distribution environments a plus.
  • Some Excel experience preferred.
  • Experience with HRIS a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the onboarding process for new hires.
  • Schedule interviews and communicate with candidates as directed.
  • Assist with orientation and new hire paperwork.
  • Prepare onboarding materials and maintain hiring records.
  • Assist with pre-employment screenings, E-Verify, and background check coordination.
  • Maintain employee personnel files and HRIS records.
  • Assist with processing employee status changes, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of HR documentation.
  • Assist with employment verifications and employee record requests.
  • Respond to routine employee questions regarding company policies, benefits, check stubs, and procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee information.
  • Support employee engagement activities and recognition programs.
  • Escalate sensitive or complex employee concerns to HR leadership.
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Maintain I-9 records and assist with audit documentation.
  • Assist with audits, certifications, customer audits, and regulatory inspections as directed.
