About The Position

Fanatics Commerce is seeking a highly organized and proactive HR Assistant to join their team at their Distribution Center in Aberdeen, MD. This role supports the daily operations of the HR department, acts as a key point of contact for employees, and ensures accuracy across employment records, HR systems, and payroll coordination in a high-volume, fast-paced warehouse environment. The HR Assistant delivers business and fan impact through BOLD leadership and execution excellence, leveraging data, automation, and AI-enabled insights.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in an HR support role; experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is a plus.
  • Knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws, with the ability to apply them in a high-volume operational setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and demonstrated experience with HRIS systems such as Oracle, Dimensions, or comparable platforms.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels.
  • High level of discretion and integrity in handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with HR staff and cross-functional teams to support seamless day-to-day HR operations across the distribution center.
  • Serve as a reliable and approachable point of contact for employees, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Coordinate with the payroll team to ensure timely and accurate data entry and processing.
  • Respond urgently and professionally to employee needs, ensuring a positive and consistent experience for all distribution center team members.
  • Support a people-first culture by maintaining accurate, up-to-date employee records and resolving HR inquiries with care and discretion.
  • Contribute to a work environment where employees feel informed, supported, and valued throughout their employment lifecycle.
  • Compile and analyze data from the HRIS system to prepare reports that inform HR decisions and workforce planning.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline HR administrative processes, including file management, status change workflows, and data entry practices.
  • Leverage HRIS platforms such as Oracle or Dimensions to improve accuracy and efficiency in HR operations.
  • Process status changes, terminations, and employee information updates in HR systems with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain complete and compliant employment files in accordance with company policy and applicable employment laws.
  • Manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced warehouse environment, ensuring no detail is overlooked.
  • Screen telephone calls and incoming mail, routing communications appropriately to support HR staff productivity.
  • Apply AI and technology to improve efficiency, quality, and outcomes.
  • Use data and digital tools to inform decisions and enhance performance.
  • Demonstrate curiosity and adaptability in adopting new technologies and ways of working.
