About The Position

As part of a proactive and innovative HR team, the HR Advisor helps bring to life the company's values and fosters a healthy, positive and inclusive environment. The HR & Recruitment Advisor provides support and advice on various HR topics such as: employee relations, learning and development, compensation and benefits, performance management, policy interpretation and compliance with employment law. They also play an active role in the attraction and talent acquisition processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Human Resources, or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in HR
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and best practices
  • Organizational and planning skills, able to prioritize tasks
  • Excellent judgment and analytical skills
  • High level of professionalism, and a demonstrated customer service approach
  • Proactive, creative, and solution-oriented.
  • Excellent command of Google Suite and familiarity with an HR system and associated procedures
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Strong team spirit and positive attitude.
  • Bilingualism in French and English, both written and spoken.
  • The functional mastery of English, spoken and written, is required for this role due to frequent interactions with non-French-speaking employees in Quebec and other Canadian provinces. It is also necessary for exchanging information and coordinating activities with studios located outside Quebec, to ensure continuous and effective service.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advice and support to employees and managers on onboarding, employee relations, performance management, leadership, leaves and absences, policies and processes, etc., and escalate complex situations as required.
  • Contribute to the elaboration, application and updating of company policies in line with legislation, and propose changes and initiatives to develop HR best practices within the company.
  • Participate in, and sometimes lead, HR projects related to various disciplines such as attraction, onboarding and integration, compensation and benefits, job evaluation, performance, recognition, employer branding, process optimization, training and skills development, retention, etc.
  • Be involved in the full employee life cycle and ensure that HR issues are dealt with impartially, fairly and in line with legislation and the company's values and objectives.
  • Create and update HR tools, processes, internal documentation and templates to ensure departmental efficiency and accessibility of information to the team.
  • Actively participate in the entire recruitment process: posting job openings, sourcing candidates, pre-screening candidates, conducting interviews, providing support and guidance to managers, and preparing job offers.
  • Contribute to industry events and coordinate relationships with schools and universities.
  • Participate in employer branding initiatives to enhance the organization’s attractivity.
