About The Position

Capstone is seeking a highly organized and strategic Human Resources and Payroll Manager to oversee the dual functions of employee administration and financial compensation, ensuring accurate payroll processing, benefits administration, and compliance with employment laws. This role manages HRIS systems, handles tax withholdings, onboarding/offboarding, and employee records, while driving improvements to payroll efficiencies and HR procedures and policies.

Requirements

Detail-oriented
5+ years of experience directing full-cycle payroll processing
5+ years of experience directing benefits administration
5+ years of experience directing employee lifecycle management
Proven expertise in ensuring FLSA compliance
Proven expertise in processing multi-grant payrolls
Proven expertise in utilizing platforms like ADP
Adept at resolving complex inquiries
Adept at building strong, employee-focused workplace cultures

Nice To Haves

BA in HR, Accounting, Business or a related field, or equivalent experience
Certified Payroll Professional
SHRM Certification
5+ years of combined experience in HR Management and Payroll Management and Administration
Experience with labor relations/management
Experience working with a unionized workforce
Significant knowledge of and experience in benefits administration
Knowledge of federal and state employment and labor laws and regulations
Staff supervision and team management experience
Payroll and/or HRIS management experience
Social services/nonprofit experience
Understanding of grant funded programming
