About The Position

Join us as a HPC Storage Administrator on our Services team in Remote, Washington location to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact. As a Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the storage infrastructure that supports large-scale computing environments. This role includes designing, configuring, and maintaining high-performance storage systems, such as parallel file systems, NAS, SAN, and object storage platforms, to ensure fast, reliable access to data for researchers, engineers, and data scientists. You will work with a small team of engineers who provide high speed storage and compute, monitor storage performance and capacity, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, implement backup and disaster recovery strategies, and ensure data security and compliance.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience with high-speed storage in an HPC environment
• Preferably GPFS
• Experience with large data backups
• Preferably Working knowledge of Dell PowerVault storage
• Working knowledge of GPFS - preferably PixStor
• Working knowledge of NFS
• RedHat administration

Nice To Haves

• Experience with GIT, shell scripting, Perl, Python, Ansible and storage fundamentals to include both NAS and block
• Experience with Mellanox Infiniband, Intel Omni-Path
• Storage experience: Panasas, S3 relationships
