Requirements

  • Possess experience with EX, XD, Apollo, Industry Standard Server, Storage, and Networking products.
  • Have experience with certification of major Operating Systems (OS) such as Linux (Ubuntu, RHEL, SUSE, etc.).
  • Experience with certification & submission to OS vendors of Linux (RedHat, SLES, Ubuntu, etc.).
  • Excellent understanding of testing methodologies.
  • Excellent understanding of hardware and software interactions.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience installing and working with Linux, Windows and VMWare OSes.
  • Experience in the overall architecture of software and hardware for products and solutions.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of programming or scripting languages, Python, PowerShell, Perl, Linux Shell, Java, MySQL, MS SQL Server is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Redfish commands, RESTful API, and JSON format.
  • Knowledge of creating and using Docker containers and VMs is a plus.
  • Experience in configuring Storage (internal/external storage, file systems, and raid/non-raid settings) and Networking devices (iSCSI, FCoE, IPs, VLANs, Bonding, Jumbo Frames, LAGs).
  • Knowledge of networking concepts such as NIC teaming, VLANs, IPv4, IPv6.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in both Mandarin and English.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, troubleshoots, and debugs software programs for software enhancements and new products.
  • Develops software including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools.
  • Determines hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware design.
  • Works with Program & Product Management teams to understand test requirements.
  • Debugs and troubleshoots issues with various teams.
  • Works with cross-functional teams to deliver quality HPC systems.
  • Works with 3rd party product vendors and engineering teams to track development issues and solutions.
  • Demonstrates the ability to effectively manage diverse test tasks and priorities in a fast-paced fluid environment.
  • Effectively responds to changing program requirements, changes to product test plans, and compressed schedules while meeting program development requirements.
  • Works with product development teams to understand new product features required for test programs/projects.
  • Works with technical leads and testers to design and develop appropriate test plans.
  • Designs and implements new test features in existing and new test cases.
  • Analyzes, debugs, and provides feedback/resolution on issues uncovered by the test team prior to submission of results to OS vendors for approval.
  • Implements software solutions for multiple test programs/projects with internal and outsourced development partners responsible for all stages of design and development for complex products and platforms, including solution design, analysis, validation, certification, and integration.
  • Reviews and evaluates the implementation and use of test automation and test tools.
  • Plans, develops, and implements software tools for the testing and evaluation of current and next-generation HPE HPC products.
  • Ensures development issues are resolved in a cost-effective, efficient, and timely manner.
  • Debugs and analyzes issues to a successful resolution.
  • Performs testing in local and remote labs.
  • Drives appropriate automated test execution to test engineers at various global locations.
  • Provides training and guidance to test teams both onshore and offshore to properly set up, execute, and triage test results.
  • Writes and executes complete testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of application.
  • Identifies, debugs, and creates solutions for product issues found during integrated systems testing.
  • Works with a team of other software systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions for assigned systems portion or subsystem.
  • Collaborates and communicates with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding software systems design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
  • Represents the software systems engineering team for all phases of larger and more-complex development projects.
  • Provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.
