Ruth & Naomi’s Mission is seeking dedicated Housing Support Workers to join our Interchange team. This frontline role supports residents in a trauma-informed, faith-based environment where dignity, safety, and hope are at the center. Who We Are. Our supportive housing programs meet people where they are, offering a stable foundation for growth and transformation. At Interchange, we provide safe and supportive housing for individuals seeking or maintaining abstinence, and we walk with them every step of the way.

Requirements

Grade 12 required
First Aid required (can be obtained post-hire)
Familiarity with addiction recovery, mental health, or vulnerable populations
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, conflict de-escalation, documentation
Emotional boundaries, quick thinking, team-oriented, and compassionate
Criminal Record Check (required)

Nice To Haves

post-secondary in social services or equivalent experience preferred
NVCI or similar is an asset
Class 5 driver’s license preferred

Responsibilities

Build positive, respectful relationships with residents and foster a supportive atmosphere
Provide day-to-day engagement and crisis support
Monitor safety, de-escalate conflicts, and respond to emergencies
Maintain accurate documentation and clear communication with the team
Promote a safe, clean, and structured living environment
