About The Position

Catholic Charities Diocese of Venice, Inc. (CCDOV) provides compassionate services to people of all races, backgrounds, and beliefs. We offer a wide range of housing and social service programs to individuals, families, and communities across ten counties in Southwest Florida. The Housing Program Manager oversees multiple housing and homelessness programs across Sarasota, Manatee, and Charlotte Counties, including the Youth Homeless Demonstration Program (YHDP), Emergency Shelter, Master Case Management, Housing Navigation, and all other CCDOV housing initiatives in the region. Working in close partnership with county leadership teams, the Housing Program Manager is responsible for program vision, growth, operations, compliance, and staff leadership, ensuring high-quality service delivery and positive outcomes for clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field; and
  • 5 years’ experience working with low-income families with complex needs and/or experiencing housing/financial crisis with supervisory experience; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training
  • Must exercise a non-judgmental, client-centered approach in working with clients.
  • Compelling, charismatic leader with the ability to move a team forward by inspiring and motivating people
  • Must have knowledge of child development, crisis intervention and supportive counseling techniques.
  • Must have valid License with good driving record and have access to a reliable insured vehicle.
  • Must be able to readily negotiate stairs, and lift children, food, and household supplies.
  • Must possess familiarity of community resources.
  • Must be organized, resourceful, flexible, have good assessment skills, and able to utilize good independent judgment in dealing with situations that arise.
  • Ability to work with diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to travel to various locations routinely
  • Must pass a Level II background check

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Sarasota, Manatee, and Charlotte County leadership teams to develop and implement the overall vision, strategy, growth, and operational plans for assigned programs.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of designated housing and homelessness programs, ensuring all activities align with agency policies, funder requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Supervise, coach, evaluate, hire, train, schedule, and support program staff; participate in corrective and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Ensure staff accountability so that daily tasks and procedures are carried out effectively and consistently.
  • Maintain and update client and staff policies and procedures; ensure compliance with grant requirements and agency standards.
  • Communicate client- or staff-related issues, incidents, or concerns that may impact programming to designated agency leadership.
  • Ensure systems are in place to support the health and safety of all program participants.
  • Provide direct support services to clients as needed, serving as a positive role model and adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate staff meetings and ensure follow-up systems are in place to communicate decisions and action items to program staff.
  • Ensure staff compliance with donation collection, logging, storage, and completion of monthly tracking forms.
  • Oversee accurate and timely data entry into the CCDOV database (ClientTrack) and other required data systems; coordinate with the PQI and Grants team to support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
  • Assist the Regional Director with program implementation, monitoring for compliance, and development of grant applications.
  • Monitor and manage program budgets to ensure financial stability.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships by conducting outreach to community organizations, government agencies, and business leaders to promote CCDOV services and improve community outcomes.
  • Demonstrate a collaborative, resourceful, and results-oriented approach, with the ability to think creatively, prioritize effectively, and execute plans.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
