About The Position

Responsible for accounting, disbursements, tracking, and reporting for the Housing Stability Program and Oklahoma Housing Trust Fund. Manages fixed asset accounting and supports agency-wide record retention processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or bachelor’s degree with 30 hours of accounting plus 3 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Ability to interpret regulations, prepare reports, and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of GAAP, governmental accounting, and standard accounting software.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be bondable.

Responsibilities

  • Set up payments and draw schedules for program awards, ensuring required documentation is complete.
  • Review draw requests and inspection reports; verify accuracy and compliance with program rules.
  • Prepare wire authorization forms and resolve discrepancies with program staff.
  • Track loan activity, including awards, disbursements, maturity dates, interest, and repayments; compile data for reports and board materials.
  • Maintain database of properties eligible for enhanced down payment assistance and process reimbursements or payments.
  • Calculate interest receivable and penalty interest when applicable.
  • Prepare loan payoff letters and monitor repayments.
  • Create monthly journal entries and reconcile bank accounts for both programs.
  • Manage fixed asset tracking, tagging, disposals, yearly inventory, depreciation schedules, and related journal entries.
  • Support record retention efforts, including storage, retrieval, and destruction of records per requirements.
  • Provide exceptional internal and external customer service and support agency operations as needed.
