Under the direction of the Housing Supervisor, the Housing Monitor provides client advocacy, case management, benefit establishment, linkage to Mental Health/Substance Abuse services, and all other supportive services as needed. This role promotes a strength-based environment to help clients achieve their goals, monitors client compliance with program rules and policies, and conducts intakes, screenings, and client move-ins/move-outs. The Housing Monitor also provides case management support, including independent living skills and benefits linkage, and utilizes de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques when necessary. Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of common areas, kitchen, restrooms, and client rooms is a key responsibility, along with conducting wellness checks, facility inspections, and perimeter checks to ensure safety. The role involves completing all required documentation, coordinating with outside agencies for client benefits, reporting property damages, assisting with donations and event coordination, and participating in meetings and trainings. Additionally, the Housing Monitor conducts outreach, networks with internal programs, and maintains compliance with various guidelines and regulations. Reporting client mental health issues, collaborating with governmental departments, modeling the organization's mission and values, and communicating effectively in a culturally competent manner are also essential aspects of the position.
